The Last Kindergarten Round Up

Luke is so excited to start school in the fall. Kolter had its annual Kindergarten Round Up morning to welcome the incoming kindergartners. Hard to believe this is the 5th one of those we have attended. Luke is thrilled that one of his best friends will be attending Kolter too and talks about it all the time.

Trevor's Ordination

Trevor was ordained as a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood  on Sunday, April 13th.  He was able to have both of his grandfathers come and participate in the ordination.  It was a great day!  So proud of the young man Trevor is becoming and the great example he is to so many people, particularly his siblings.

Michael went to prom with some friends this year. He was stylin' in his tuxedo with an awesome Tennessee Orange tie and vest combo. The afterparty was a lot of fun, especially when he won a nice, crisp $100 bill door prize! You never would have guessed he had been out all night and had only gotten 2 hours of sleep before speaking in church that next day :)

Arrowhead Honor Society

Michael was inducted into Lamar's Arrowhead Honor Society.

According to the school, "Membership in Arrowhead, the Senior Honor Society of Lamar, is the highest goal toward which any student can aim. Only those who are very outstanding in scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and willingness to serve Lamar are considered eligible. To become a member, one must be a Senior with a graduating GPA of 4.0, or above."

Great job Michael!

Trevor's 14!!

Happy Birthday Trevor! It's been quite a year for Trevor.  He has been a teacup, a cave cat, made all Region choir, awarded best Actor in the 1 Act Play UIL competition, President of the National Junior Honor Society, kept busy with scouts, school and church, read all the coolest books, surpassed his mom in height and grew a mustache.  Oh, and he eats a tub of Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream a week, all by himself (could be the real reason behind the growth spurt!)  He has a great sense of humor and always makes us laugh.  Here's looking at another year kid!

Spring Volleyball

Hayley started her 2nd season of volleyball. She is playing with the same team as last fall at the YMCA, but this time her team's name is the Crush. She is pretty excited to be playing again, and crushing the competition along the way!

A Day at the Zoo

Luke and I met some friends at the zoo this week.  We had some extra bread so we fed the ducks and pigeons before we went into the zoo. It was an adventure!

Once we ran out of bread, we headed into the zoo. After the ducks and pigeons flying all around them, I guess the other animals seemed a little tame. The kids were loving climbing on all the animal statues though!  

April Fools Day

It is always fun to do a little April Fools Day jokes on April 1st.  This year was pretty tame in comparision to past years.  For dinner we did have some special mashed potatoes and gravy that was a hit.
