Spring-a-lious

Hayley is ready for spring!

Getting Bigger

For my family far away, I am getting big. Really big. As in I noticed today that I officially can't see my feet when I look down. And I promise, it's not just the Blue Bell Ice Cream and Fried Twinkies. Or from stalking Girl Scouts at local grocery stores on Saturdays, looking for more boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Although those things probably didn't help.

Here are a couple of prego pictures - just 3 weeks to go!

You would get more, but Jake took most of them...Note to self, don't let a 4 yr old take pictures of your growing belly. The angle just isn't very flattering...

Yahoooooo - we are having a baby!!

Seeing Things Differently

I had to go to the eye doctor this month. In addition to normal contacts, I finally got a new pair of glasses...the old ones were so last century :)

Jake came with me to pick up the glasses. I put them on and turned to him and asked him what he thought. He looked at me seriously for a few seconds, then burst into a grin and said:

"You look like a brand new lady!"

Blue Bell Ice Cream

Over Spring Break we visited the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory with my family who were in town visiting. It has been a few years since we've been out there & I had never been there during Spring Break. Holy Cow - it was crazy!

The tour line was 2 hours long but Blue Bell really does things great. They had Bouncy Blue Bell Moonwalks for the kids to play on during the wait, complimetary bottled waters, & free ice cream sandwiches among other things.

The weather was perfect & time went by pretty fast, especially visiting with cousins, my brother Bob & his wife Cynthia and my parents.

The tour was great. Trevor declared afterwards that he & Alex were going to work there when they grew up, because as the tour guide said, "Here at Blue Bell, we eat all we can and then we sell the rest!" What could be better than that, right?!

And as special guests, we all got another scoop of ice cream at the end...I won't tell you how much ice cream we actually ate that day. But lets just say it was worth the wait!

Blue Bell is the best!

Rodeo 2009

We went to the rodeo on St Patrick's Day this year.
We hit all our favorite stops...

The Animals

The "Handitizer" Stations - Jake loved them!!!

The Tractors

The Rides

The Bubble House

Fun on the Farm

The Pig Races

The Footsie Wootsie...the ultimate foot massage!

And of course, my personal favorite...the FOOD!!!

Sausage on a Stick for Lunch

Followed by some cool dipping dots...

Chocolate Milk from the Borden milking area

Fried Cookie Dough, Fried Oreos, & Fried Snickers...YUM!

Washed down with some freshly squeezed Lemonade!

And just in case we didn't get enough...one more stop for Roasted Corn on a stick, Sausage on a Stick and a BBQ Baked Potato for dinner!

Sweet memories - can't wait until next year!
