Toothless in Texas

March was a monumental month for Jake.  He finally lost  his first tooth! 
And then, a week later, his 2nd tooth came out!

Back to Normal

Spring Break ended the middle of March & it was back to normal.  The week after Spring Break we managed to keep it fun with field trips, park visits and even a fun Spaghetti Dinner/Cake Auction at church.

You Gotta Have a Plan!

One of Jake's catch phrases when he was younger was, "You gotta have a plan".  So it was no surprise when Jake made a To Do List of things he really wanted to do during Spring Break and posted it on the fridge.

It was a tight squeeze, but by Saturday night, we had checked everything off the list!

We had to hit up Galveston and have fun at the beach during spring break. Don & Michael were busy so I took the 4 younger kids and we went to the beach. It was a lot of fun. Everyone was great, helping out with Luke. It was a beautiful day, but the water was a little colder than normal. It didn't stop them from riding the waves!

On the way home we explored a little of the Strand and had to get a little treat to help celebrate the day.

Our annual trip to the Rodeo during Spring Break is always so great.  The farm, the animals, tractors, rides and of course, the amazing food, are all some of our favorite things to do at the rodeo.  Love it all!

Birthdays!!

March kicked off 6 weeks of birthday celebrations around here.  We began things on March 4th celebrating Grammy's Birthday.  

We had a lot of fun, ate lots of good food & had a great night together.

The best surprise for Grammy was when Don got most of her kids & grandkids online at the same time with Google Chat.  It was chaos but so fun to see everyone & especially fun to see Grammy & Grandaddy's faces as they talked to the gang. 

I am not sure why the only picture of the cake I have is a self portrait of Hayley with Luke sneaking up to the cake behind her, sticking his finger in the frosting in the background..but we did have cake!  And yes, the frosting was the best part!

A week later we had a fun 16th birthday party for Ade and had some friends from church over with Ade's family to celebrate.  We were having too much fun and didn't get any pictures until the very end of the night.   Can you tell what his favorite things are...he fits right in around here!

 

After Ade's birthday we had a 2 week reprieve from birthdays

until Michael turned 16...

And 5 days later, Trevor turned 12...

Followed up by Luke turning 3 on April 16th... 

Whew.  That is a lot of candles in a month!!
