Snapshot in Time

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, AUGUST 24, 2009

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL, MAY 27, 2010

IT'S SUMMERTIME!

Changes

It's official, Michael is now in HIGH SCHOOL!

Michael had one last chance to leave his touch on middle school and was selected to give a speech for the 8th grade celebration/graduation ceremony. Michael spoke on "Change" and did a fabulous job. He even somehow, managed to throw in a quote by NBA legend Larry Bird. Amazing how that kid can work basketball into everything! Pure genius, I must say!

Michael was also award 3 different trophies by his teachers for Superior Academics in Spanish, English and Outstanding Symphonic Band Member. He has already gotten one recruitment call from the high school's band director this week trying to get him to reconsider joining the band. That boy has talent!

After the ceremony, Michael went to lunch with his friends to celebrate their success.

OUTSTANDING!

The end of the school year brings lots of end of school programs. The last week of school both Trevor and Hayley had award ceremonies in which they "advanced" to the next grade. Both Trevor and Hayley had several certificates, including outstanding student for each of them.

In addition to her many other end of school year awards, Hayley received the Outstanding Chinese Student of the Year award for her entire grade. Hayley is a great student and her teachers all love having her in class.
