Birthday Fun

July was a fun month for birthdays, and celebrate all month is just about what we did!

First we celebrated my birthday and one of the best surprises of the day was a phone call from Michael who was away at Scout Camp, calling to wish me a Happy Birthday.

Luke turned 3 months old and showed us his magic disappearing fist trick. That cute mouth can do more than just smile!

Then we celebrated the family July birthdays with my Dad while we were in Dallas...

Abby & Hayley

And finally Hayley wrapped up the month with her 7th birthday celebration...

Scout Camp

Michael went to Scout Camp for a week in July & came back tanner, thinner and taller than ever. He had a great time swimming, shooting and doing all those other things Scouts do. He has even shown us his culinary skills and cooked breakfast for dinner for all of us a few times!

Fun on the 4th of July

We kicked off the 4th of July at the church's annual 4th of July flagraising and breakfast ceremony. This year had an added bonus of a bike parade for the kids. Hayley and Jake joined in, and even Michael jumped on a scooter for a minute.

With Grammy spending the week-end visiting Don's sister, we had a fun houseguest for the week-end. It was great to have Grandaddy stay with us and celebrate the 4th together.

Summer Fun in June

June kicked off summer with a blast!

Luke's baby blessing brought a lot of the Bowman gang into town.

The kids had such fun together, Bob & Cynthia were crazy enough to take our oldest 4 up to Dallas with them so the kids could have "s'more" fun for a few more days, leaving us at home to bond a few days with sweet little Luke! While in Dallas the cousins played non-stop, swam, hit up a water park a few times, made s'mores and even tried to catch a Ranger's game that ended up being rained out. They had a blast!

The day after the kids came home, our awesome 'Zona friends, the Clarks came to visit. Just move back already - please??!!! We miss you guys :)

Cami & Jake

Father's Day was great, celebrating the great men in our lives.

Trevor got to go to a fun Lego Camp this summer with his friend Jason. They built all sorts of cool stuff like vending machings and a moving car.

Luke turned 2 months and continues to grow cuter and more popular by the day! I often find him in the middle of all the playing, surrounded by new friends. He just sleeps or smiles through all the fun adventures!

Then of course, we did all the normal fun stuff of summer, like swim, make jam and salsa, swim, make forts, swim, read, swim...you get the picture!
