Mothers Day

Mother's Day was a great day.  We had a fun breakfast in bed, went to our new ward and had family over for dinner that night.  Sure love these kids!

Talent Fest

Every year the middle school hosts a huge Talent Festival.  There are lots of games and activities, food booths and 4 hours worth of talent, ranging from instrumental, dancing, singing, hula hooping and much more.  This year the emcees were Trevor and one of his oldest friends, Kendall.  They have been friends since kindergarten, competing in Elementary UIL events and performing in middle school plays the last few years, so it was fun to see them perform together one last time before heading off to different high schools in the fall.  They kicked off the night with a funny rap and entertained us all night with jokes between introducing the next act.

Yum Yums Bakery

Jake had a fun school project for his 3rd grade Expo.  They had to create a business, complete with a business plan and advertising.  Jake teamed up with his best friend Alex and came up with Yum Yums Bakery.  They were cute in working on their project.  It took a few extra playdates meetings to get everything done the way they wanted.

They were awesome at the Expo, singing their advertising limmericks that have a catchy little tune that gets stuck in your head.  Luke still occasionally sings about the "Buttery, Buttery, Buttery Bread".

Yoda Soda

Per tradition, we had a little Star Wars fun today for May the Fourth Be With You.  Couldn't let the day go by without a little Yoda Soda!  There were big boundary changes for our ward at church today and for the first time in 19 years, we are in a different congregation.  We are excited to meet new friends in the Hermann Park but will miss our Maplewood 2 family so much.  Yoda Soda was just the thing to help us restore a little balance to our galaxy this evening!

Happy Birthday Luke!

At last, Luke is 5! Luke is the 3rd family birthday in less than 3 weeks and he has been anxiously waiting his turn. He was excited to jump out of bed and run into the living room and see the balloons and streamers to make sure it was really his birthday.

What could be better on your birthday than a fun playgroup Easter Egg hunt with your friends and lots of candy, then going home to a fun family party. It was the best day ever!

Everything is awesome when you are 5!

Happy Birthday Luke!

The Last Kindergarten Round Up

Luke is so excited to start school in the fall. Kolter had its annual Kindergarten Round Up morning to welcome the incoming kindergartners. Hard to believe this is the 5th one of those we have attended. Luke is thrilled that one of his best friends will be attending Kolter too and talks about it all the time.

Luke and Nathan had a blast together at the Kindergarten Round Up. What kid wouldn't be excited about a pony ride, petting zoo, cougar stamp and great snacks?!

Trevor's Ordination

Trevor was ordained as a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood  on Sunday, April 13th.  He was able to have both of his grandfathers come and participate in the ordination.  It was a great day!  So proud of the young man Trevor is becoming and the great example he is to so many people, particularly his siblings.

Prom Pictures

Michael went to prom with some friends this year. He was stylin' in his tuxedo with an awesome Tennessee Orange tie and vest combo. The afterparty was a lot of fun, especially when he won a nice, crisp $100 bill door prize! You never would have guessed he had been out all night and had only gotten 2 hours of sleep before speaking in church that next day :)

A few pre-prom shots...
