Out of the Fish Bowl

Michael finished his freshman "fish" year at Lamar, ending the year with a round of finals and a Human Geography AP exam.  He did great, ending up with straight A's in some tough IB/AP courses.  We just got his AP score for geography this month and he now has college credit - woo hoo!

First day of School - August 2010

Michael snuck out the door before I got a picture of him on the last day of school.  But he did  get a couple donut dumbbells for breakfast, wrapping up the school year with a reminder of our family theme for the school year...see here.  Luke enjoyed them too!

Stand Strong Theme and Donut Breakfast

Besides keeping busy with school projects, tests and finals, Michael had fun in May playing in a church basketball tournament, placing 2nd with his team in a church seminary scripture bowl, lots of Scout activities and just hanging with friends.  It is hard to keep track of him and he usually avoids the camera, but we did get a shot of him playing ball.  Unfortunately most of the shots were blurry because he is just that fast!  He had some great games, but the stake title is still eluding them...maybe next year  :)
Church Basketball Tournament in May

The day after school ended, Michael got on a flight to spend 10 days in Utah at BYU's Basketball Camp & with family.  He had an awesome time, played a ton of basketball, made the ALLSTAR team!, saw old friends, learned how to Jimmer, and had fun with uncles, aunts and cousins too.  It was a great trip that we will post more on later.

Where do you come up with such cute ideas? I love the idea of a family theme for the year. Those dumb bells are awesome. I think I might have to do an fhe with them.
