Willy Wonka


Trevor has been super busy the couple of months, preparing for the amazing performance of Willy Wonka, the Musical, at his school.  It was a fantastic show, complete with special effects and an orchestra in the pit.  We just can't stop singing the catchy music around here, especially the Oompa Lompa and Pure Imagination songs.

Willy Wonka was pretty great, but our favorite actor was Trevor of course!  He was one of the Candy Kids (Charlie's friends) who always gathered around the Candyman selling Wonka Bars.  Trevor was fantastic!  He always had great facial expressions and loved singing all the songs.  It was so fun to watch him perform.   This was his first experience with the theatre and he LOVED it!




Another first that came with this play was teaching Trevor how to put on make-up.  It was entertaining to see him apply lipstick and blush.  He left the eyeliner and mascara up to me, not wanting to poke himself in the eye. 

The play ran for 2 nights.  Megan (one of Trev's oldest friends), Hayley and I went Friday night, along with lots of other middle school friends. 

Saturday, the whole family enjoyed the show (except for Luke who enjoyed playing Thomas trains with Megan - thanks Megan!).  Both sets of grandparents came to cheer Trevor on and enjoy the show.  It was so fun!

After the play, Trevor got to go to his first cast party at El Ranchero's Mexican Restaurant.  It looked like they had a blast!
