What Dreams are Made Of

Monday afternoon I made banana bread. Jake came around the corner and took a big sniff, and asked what I was making. When I told him it was banana bread, he exclaimed:

"YES, IT'S JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN DREAMING OF!!" and started dancing in the kitchen.

So just in case you were wondering what dreams are made of these days...try some homemade banana bread! It made everyone really happy after school. Good thing I made a double batch because we had the first big loaf gone way before Don got home from work. Sweet Dreams!

Our Personal Chef

Hayley got a fun Christmas present from her grandparents. It was NoBake Chef Recipe Book, complete with hat, apron, measuring cups, spoons and a bowl. So this week she created her first creation - "Chocolate Lava Sundae Topping".

It is a delicious fudge sauce that you can put on ice cream sundaes or just dip strawberries in - YUM!

We are very excited to taste out her next treat for Family Night - "Cheeky Cheesecake!"

1) WASH AND DRY CONTAINERS FOR JAM

2)WASH OFF STRAWBERRIES

3)SMUSH STRAWBERRIES WITH ALL YOUR MUSCLES

4)STIR IN LOTS OF SUGAR!

5)STIR IN PECTIN AND POUR INTO PREPARED CONTAINERS...FUNNELS ARE FUN!

7)TASTING THE JAM - YUM!

I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HAYLEY GETTING INTO A "JAM" AS LONG AS SHE HAS HER SPOON!

Come to dinner and try some of Hayley's yummy jam this summer!
