Michael had his year end band concert on Tuesday. He did a great job as the first chair french horn player. Because his school is also a magnet fine arts school, there were all types of bands playing, including a marachi band, which Jake totally loved (see his comment on the Say What column). Hayley, Trevor and Jake did have fun staying up past bedtime, chilling outside after the concert for a minute.
Jake and his friend Emmy have played a few times this week, and I guess they were tired of playing the normal cars, little people or planet heroes and decided to branch out with a performance of their own. On Monday, they popped out of Hayley's room dressed as princesses, putting on some of Hayley's make-up, ready to dance. I put on a Cinderella Dance tape Hayley has and they had a blast. I did have to draw the line when Jake brought me the hot pink nail polish and wanted his toes painted. Don't worry Don, today they are back to saving the world and making the bad guys walk the plank!
Yesterday Trevor and his Chinese class were able to go to Unv of H & perform at for a World Culture Affairs convention for 6th graders (kind of like a mini United Nations thing). They did a great job as the lunch time entertainment...and we even got free lunch afterwards!
